Support Services for SDEAS Students

Formation Sessions for SDEAS Parents and Guardians

Parents and guardians of Deaf Benildeans may participate in the series of formation sessions provided by SDEAS in order to further strengthen their relationship with their children. Participants of these sessions may deepen their understanding of Deaf culture and learn specific strategies to create an atmosphere of trust, belongingness, and acceptance at home despite cultural differences between Deaf and hearing family members.

Mentoring and Life Skills Training

SDEAS students are equipped with study skills, coping strategies, and emotional first aid techniques through consultation sessions with SDEAS associates and volunteers.

Women’s Month Activities

Every March, Benilde SDEAS celebrates Women’s Month  through various learning sessions and exhibits featuring issues and challenges that Deaf women face. These activities aim to empower SDEAS students as they learn about women’s rights and gender issues.

SDEAS Volunteers’ Team Building

The SDEAS Volunteers’ Team Building is an annual overnight activity that aims to enhance students’ leadership, stewardship and management skills for them to become volunteers who are capable to serve people inside and outside of the College of Saint Benilde.
