For the last 30 years, the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde School of Deaf Education and Applied Studies (SDEAS) has developed Deaf leader-advocates who are capable and committed to making positive contributions to society. We currently have over 200 students, and we offer 45 scholarships a year to deaf students from low-income families. 

Donations allow the School to develop programs in response to the educational, employment, advocacy, and accessibility needs of Deaf individuals. Benilde SDEAS welcomes various forms of support from donors and allies in order to continue the School’s legacy of making a positive impact to the lives of Deaf Filipinos, their families, and their communities. 

Contribute to the SDEAS Endowment Fund
SDEAS focuses its resources and initiatives to create its own endowment fund for the sustainability of its scholarship program. Contributions to this fund help us meet the most pressing needs of the School as it provides unrestricted and immediate support to the Deaf students of SDEAS. Individuals and institutions may offer a one-time donation of any amount to the SDEAS Endowment Fund. 

Sponsor the monthly learning and living needs of a Deaf scholar
The prolonged COVID-19 community quarantine has made learning from home even more challenging for SDEAS Deaf scholars. Many of them use borrowed gadgets and only rely on mobile data to participate in online classes. One Deaf scholar would be needing and around P1,000 per month for online learning expenses, P3,000 per month for school miscellaneous fees, and P5,000 for food and other basic needs. To support a Deaf scholar through college, sponsors may offer a monthly donation of either P1,000, P3,000, P5,000 or P8,000.

Raise funds for the educational needs of Deaf scholars 
Partners and allies may organize a social responsibility activity, a corporate giving program or a cause-related marketing campaign to raise funds for the distance learning and living allowances of SDEAS Deaf scholars.
